OCCUPATIONAL
SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY OF “RAS 1” LTD
The Management of “RAS
1” Ltd. realizes that the declaration and implementation of
clear
occupational safety and health policy, supported by all members
of the personnel, is an
integral part of the overall Integrated Management System of the
company.
Specifying the measures for continuous improvement of the
integrated system, in its
occupational safety and health part, aims at preserving life,
health and performance of
the personnel, as well as reducing injuries and illness, and
increasing the well-being and
contentment of the employees.
In order to implement the concept of the system, the Management
applies the following
basic principles in realization of its activity:
• Based on the prepared risk assessment and in accordance with
the risks and hazards
related to health, the Management of the company supports and
implements a clear policy,
introduced to all employees and available to all interested
parties.
• The applied uniform policy on prevention covers the
technological regulations, the places
of work and the work organization, the working conditions and
social relations.
• The company carries out preventive activities in order to
control and reduce risk and
ensure safe working conditions.
• Continuous improvement of the occupational safety and health
management and the
results in terms of safety and health at work.
• A minimum must is the compliance and observance of the
requirements of the applicable
laws and regulations, related to occupational safety and health,
as well as the engagements
and programs undertaken on a voluntary basis – all this brings
to a better attitude towards
the company by all interested parties.
• The provision of resources, necessary for the implementation
of the set goals and
objectives, related to occupational safety and health, is a
company priority at all levels.
• To adequately meet the communication requirements, the
Management of "RAS 1" Ltd.
guarantees advising with the workers and their representatives,
and encourages the active
participation of all team members in all stages of implementing
the Safety and Health
Management System.
• Each team member of “RAS 1” Ltd. is obliged to take good care
and responsibility for their
own safety and health, as well as for the safety and health of
their colleagues, with a view to
the effects at work.
• The Management of the company undertakes to encourage the
involvement and
commitment of each team member in suggesting and implementing
activities, which could
prevent potential hazards.
• A major goal of the Management of “RAS 1”Ltd. is to provide
appropriate training,
qualification and skills, necessary to perform the specific
duties and responsibilities.
• The Management of "RAS 1" Ltd. undertakes to maintain its
policy in such a way that it is
adequate and suitable to apply in the company activities. The
Senior Management of "RAS
1" Ltd. is convinced that the implementation of the key policy
principles for occupational
safety and health, as well as the constant care for the people,
will increase confidence and
improve the image of the company.
The company observes the following main objectives:
• constant and progressive improvement of safety and health at
work, reducing the number
of accidents, occupational diseases and damages at work;
• maintaining stable performance of workers, prevention of
fatigue and stress at work and
increasing labour productivity;
• using collective protective means in preference to personal
protective ones;
• training its personnel at all levels so that they acquire a
culture of safety at work;
• replacement of hazardous production, work equipment, materials
and raw materials with
safe or less hazardous ones.
The Management of the company undertakes to maintain effective
and efficient
occupational safety and health management system. By constantly
evaluating and taking
measures for the Integrated Management System, the Management of
"RAS 1" Ltd. aims at
meeting modern requirements, taking into consideration the
following factors:
